Molinaseca. Hi there, today was a tough day, 27 kms of hilly, rocky terrain... beautiful landscape though... arrived in molinaseca from rabanal del camino... left about 6.30am got here about 3pm with two stops... breakfast at foncebadon and lunch at el acebo or something like that... arrived in foncebadon for brekky at about 7am, it was so cold and foggy, the place looked eerie! misty... i was freezing, the temperature was really low, everyone had warm clothes on, i wore the rain poncho even if it wasn´t raining to protect me from the wind and cold... although it was good because there was some dew, maybe things would get wet a bit without it... only took it off in the afternoon when it warmed up a bit, the sun came out and by that stage i was really tired going down hill for ages after going up... the way down was longer and harder, as usual... but my knees and ankles were ok... got here really tired though, the hay fever was REALLY annoying... nothing works when i walk forever in the middle of flowers in the hills, it was the same at st jean... have tried three different tablets, all useless! :( apart from that, another good day... had a nap in the afternoon and i´m not using the internet before dinner at the albergue at 7.30pm... had the best coffee in spain at this bar in en acebo, charming place by the way the little village, very gorgeous... they have excellent service and food as well as the fantastic coffee, quite expensive though... a sandwich and a coffee nearly 7 euros!... yesterday i had the menu pelegrino for dinner at a restaurante in rabanal... really glad i stopped at rabanal, another really nice, charming village... had dinner with laura the finish girl i caught up with at the restaurant meson... another good place to eat, good food, good service, very cosy place... over cena (dinner) i watched the game between australia and germany for the world cup, i was the only australian in town and a lot of germans! unfortunately, as you know, australia lost 4x0, not surprisingly being definitely the underdog... well, that´s all for now, need to go soon not to miss dinner... love to all, Val.
